Everything for the loan and the house is done, we just have to wait for closing. The deadline is the 27th, but when we set that date and when we signed the addendum of 2 days after recording, we did not understand that we had to wait 2 days after closing for the loan to be recorded then an additional 2 days after that recording to obtain possession.
Our realtor spoke to the seller's realtor and they can't close early. We'll get possession on the 1st, but we have to be out of our current apartment BEFORE the 1st.
Mother. Fucker.
I'm so angry - mostly at our realtor but a lot at myself. I feel like I didn't ask enough questions or read up on it enough. I didn't read into it enough. But my fucking realtor should've made sure I understood that part, because she understood we had to be out before the 1st.
I don't know what to do, really.
I want to fucking bitch slap that realtor.
My response to her email:
"I don't really know what to say. I'm really disappointed and scared on
how this is all going to turn out. When we signed the contract I
thought that we would be getting the keys to the house by the 27th,
George and I didn't realize and we feel it wasn't communicated or
explained to us that we had to wait for recording, then wait an
additional two days to get the keys. This leaves us in a huge bind
when we have to be out of our apartment before the 1st of September..
giving us a day plus an evening doesn't give us enough time.
I guess it's out fault for not understanding the contract and we'll have to pay for it."
